I've got a sealed tin of ET Pembroke, I'll trade you for it. I ordered it by accident on a web site - thought I was clicking on Penzance.

Am interested in selling or trading collectable pipes, vintage tobaccos, and eventually vintage vinyl with good covers. All can be seen by going to http://PipesAndVinyl.com

I just recently started smoking a pipe after wanting to for years. Much better than cigars, if you ask me. Wife hates it, but oh well. I have bought a few pipes and some tobacco on eBay. Up to seven pipes now and a few tins of tobacco. There are quite a few sellers on there and I haven't had a bad transaction yet. IrishLefty is correct - pipestud is great. I watch his stuff all the time. estore4 and judperl are two I have bought from. Good luck.

Tony. Re your question about ASP. That is alt.smokers.pipes It is a public usenet forum. You can access it through a newsreader or Google the full name [not ASP]and acess the posts through Google groups. Hope this is helpful.

Hello K. Smith. I noticed that you referred to ASP Newsgroup. I cannot seem to find any information about it through web browsing. I've seen several references to it on tobaccoreviews.com but not what it stands for. How do you get to it? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Another great source for buying and selling estate pipes is Mike Glukler who operates briarblues.com. An exceptional gentleman, IMHO.

I've bought, sold and traded numerous pipes and tins of tobacco at http://www.smokersforums.org/. It's a pipe and cigar smoker's web forum. Since it's a fairly tight knit community, the level of personal responsibility to the other members is pretty high. Much more so than an anonymous outlet like eBay. I've had good experiences with with all transactions on the forum. But I've also had fairly good luck on eBay as well. I just stick to known sellers, and frequently buy from the same people if they prove themselves to be sellers of high integrity.

Occasionally, people post estate pipes and tins on the A.S.P. newsgroup.

Greetings and welcome back to the loop (or loopy). For swapping there is still no better way than to attend the collectors pipe shows like the one coming up in Chicago in May. For selling and reaching the most potential buyers there is nothing better than Ebay, at least not yet.
