New Feature - Resource List

As part of the plan to increase the usefulness of Tobacco Reviews, I would like your help in compiling a list of useful resources for pipe smokers on the web. If you have some links to share, please leave them in the comments, along with a suggested category for them to be listed under, such as “retailer”, “manufacturer”, “information” or whatever else seems appropriate for the link.

As the list is assembled, I will put together a directory of them on this site, and eventually on Tobacco Reviews itself.

This seems to me the most important one to point new pipe smokers to: the A.S.P FAQ.
Information: http://www.aspipes.org/faq/faq/official.html

Another good basic info resource.

Plenty of information to wade through here!

I could go on and on… I’ve got about 50 pipe related sites bookmarked. I’ll content myself with one more: a plug for my favorite online pipe & tobacco retailer:
Retailer: http://www.smokingpipes.com/

(I’m not affiliated with smokingpipes.com in any way, other than as a customer.)

I was surrounded by cigarette smokers, and had to research on my own before starting smoking a pipe. Thank god for the internet.
Delicious has a lot of pipe related links:

I am keeping my own list here:

And youtube has a lot of videos showing how to fill/light/clean a pipe. Very informative.

I have a pipe blog called Straight Grain located here: http://straightgrain.blogspot.com/
I think it would fit into the categories of “Personal”, “Information” or if you want to create a category for “Blogs”.

If I may add, I have been contemplating having a site that has photos of what certain tobacco blends actually look like out of the tin/bag. I have always found the ability to visually inspect a blend helpful in the selection process when searching for new blends to try. Does this sound like something others here would find interesting/useful?

I can’t believe that nobody has listed The Aging, Storage and Cellaring FAQ! I have learned so much from that site. If you have any intention of aging, storing, and/or cellaring pipe tobacco, ESPECIALLY BULKS, you need to read this site!
